Set against the backdrop of Mercy Hospital, Claire is a young, dedicated nurse who works in the children's ward. She enjoys her work and is confident in her nursing abilities.  In her personal life, however, Claire is not quite as self-assured.  Inexperienced and shy, she tends to keep to herself and avoids romantic relationships… until she meets Birdie.
